Lead & Create training for Independent Choreographers
WHY?
- There is plenty of research, analysis and tools to help choreographers become better leaders.
- But there wasn’t a training that specifically addressed the particular conditions of the project-based (independent) creation process.
- We have developed an artist led course in collaboration with The Place, Equity and One Dance UK that offers choreographers training in areas such as self awareness, legal responsibilities, effective collaborations, conflict resolution and strategies for resilience.
- The training also offers a forum in which choreographers can support each other.
- Last year 28 choreographers took the course, rating it 9.5 out of 10.

Next course will be October- November 2025
WHAT’S THE FORMAT?
6 week online course led by coaches and artists. Expected workload 4h per week
Each week you will get
1- Specific content on each of the subjects to review in your own time
2- 2h masterclass online with a specialist guest on the subject
