LEAD & CREATE

GOOD LEADERSHIP CREATES BETTER ART

At Lead & Create, we know what it’s like to juggle vision, budgets, and people — all while trying to make great art.

That’s why we’ve built a space for choreographers and other artists leading creative processes: training, free resources, and big conversations with the sector. Think of it as your toolkit to lead with confidence, spark better collaborations,

and squeeze the most magic out of your studio time.

Community

New dates announced soon.

The Lead & Create podcast combines in-depth interviews with artists and leaders from across the dance sector with solo episodes offering reflections, questions and practical tools. Across two seasons, the podcast explores leadership, power and decision-making through real life stories and a healthy dose of humour.

Advocacy

We are in direct contact with Equity, One Dance UK, The Place, Birmingham Dance Network, and Fabric, collaborating to share our discoveries and develop a more robust network aimed at both supporting and holding UK choreographers accountable.

Changing a culture

Neus was the first experience I had with a leader that consciously thinks about the health of her collaborators. There was a deep feeling of connection and attention that she established in the projects where you could sense that no matter what happened your interests would be considered.
